Future plans

Since we have been able to begin using the new Maternity Complex (Jan 2012) our future plans have been focused on training and expanding services. We hosted our first eye care tream in March 2012 and are seeking to develop this ministry in the years ahead. 

Training plans include nurses training beginning in late 2012 or early 2013 with a program to train our current nurses aides to a level somewhere between LPN and RN.  We will then pursue either a formal RN program or a second level of an internal program.

We are in the first phase of a project to lower our dependence on the local power grid.  We will be installing solar panels to make us day time independent sometime this fall and then will seek to improve our power back up with an additional generator and some battery back-ups for the solar project.

We are also exploring the possibility of training OBGYN's here at the hospital under the PAACS program.  This will take a significant amount of work to accomplish.

We hold our future plans lightly in our hands as we plan to the best of our abilities but often God steps in and sends us in a direction that we had not yet considered. God is leading and we are committed to following Him.
